Description

Birmingham Supported Accommodation provides supported housing for adults aged 18 and over who would benefit from help to live independently and maintain their tenancy. We offer accommodation across four locations: Bridgeburn Road in Northfield, Sandwood House in Edgbaston, Primrose House in Handsworth Wood and Sandybanks in Erdington.

Residents have their own room and share facilities such as a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, garden and laundry room. Sandybanks also has a conservatory. All properties are located close to local amenities, including shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, parks and public transport links. Free Wi-Fi is available in communal areas.

Our experienced team provides support based on each person's individual needs, goals and aspirations. Residents can access up to three hours of support each week to help them build confidence, develop independent living skills and improve their overall wellbeing. Support may include help with managing a tenancy, budgeting and benefits, dealing with correspondence, maintaining health and wellbeing, accessing local services and planning for future move-on accommodation.

Staff are available on-site Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, offering reassurance and practical support when needed. An out-of-hours telephone service is also available, helping residents feel safe and supported at all times. CCTV is in place across the services to further enhance safety and security.

Applications can be made directly to the service without the need for a referral from another organisation. Most housing and support costs are covered through Housing Benefit for those who are eligible. Residents are usually expected to contribute between £22 and £29 per week towards heating and hot water costs.
